Carl Thompson - City Administrator

I have been in a lot of interesting jobs in my life but none have been as much as a challenge as the one that I am undertaking now. I have been a section gandy to railroad extra gang foreman. I have worked as a warehouse buyer for Disney in California and a welding supply salesman at Pasco and Moses Lake. I have worked as a fuel truck driver for Moses Lake Grange also at the U & I Sugar Refinery in Moses Lake. I worked for Dusty Co-op, and the Colfax Grange as a field man and for The McGregor Company in the parts department. I started working for the City of Colfax in 1996. I worked for two years as a firefighter and in early 1999 was given the opportunity to become the Fire Department Administrator. I was the administrator for 7 years. I started the City Administrators job in October of 2006; there have been and will be many interesting opportunities in the upcoming years.

Mark Clinton - City Treasurer

Mark Clinton "keeps the books" for the City. His experience with banking, specifically his time at Washington Mutual bank in Colfax, put him in a posi-tion to understand the financial complexities of a municipal government. He and his wife, Cheryl, are raising a son and daughter in Colfax and are active with the church and school they and their family enjoy in Colfax. In addition to Mark's city work, he is the financial head of the church, a room-father at school and a coach for his son's sports team.

Lynda Kramlich - Deputy City Clerk & Court Clerk

Lynda is Deputy City Clerk and Deputy Court Clerk. One of the city's newer employees, Lynda is proving to be a great asset to the city and is one of the first faces you see when you enter city hall. She handles payroll, assists with billing and is secretary to the citizen boards and commissions. She also clerks the city's traffic infractions in the municipal court. Lynda and her husband, Rich, are Colfax natives and are raising their family here.

Connie Ellis - Court Clerk

Connie Ellis was Deputy Clerk and Municipal Court Clerk for three years before taking over the helm of City Clerk. Her training and experience as a legal secretary puts her in good stead for her court work. Her organization, familiarity with the community and sense of fun are her key to performing Clerk duties.. Connie and her husband, Dean, are raising their three boys in Colfax—their choice for Rural Life at it's Best. The are involved in a number of Colfax activities.

Andy Burgard - Building Inspector

Andy Burgard is the Colfax Building Inspector. Andy also assists with planning, zoning and code enforcement. In the summer he supervises the management of the municipal pool. This multi-talented staffer lives in Spokane where his wife, Connie, is employed. They are considering a move to the Palouse when Connie retires. Andy worked for the Spokane building department before coming to Colfax.
